Cristiano Ronaldo Surpasses Sergio Ramos International Record

Forward Cristiano Ronaldo played his 181st match with the Portugal team this Saturday and became the European footballer with the most international appearances, ahead of Spain's Sergio Ramos (180).

Cristiano, 36, was the starter in the friendly that the 'quinas' play at the Estadio do Algarve against Qatar, which earned him another record to add to his collection.

In his last match with the Lusa elastic he already achieved another feat: being the footballer who has scored the most goals with his team, by surpassing the 109 goals of the Iranian Ali Daei. Before the Qataris he saw the door again and continues thus increasing his figures.

The Madeira footballer made his debut for Portugal on August 20, 2003 , at the age of 18, in a match with Kazakhstan in which he played the second half.

His first goal with the "quinas" was on June 12, 2004, during added time of the Portugal-Greece opening match of Euro2004.

With the Portuguese elastic, Cristiano was proclaimed champion of the Eurocup in 2016 and of the League of Nations in 2018.
