T20 World Cup: South Africa Beat Sri Lanka After A Thrilling Match

South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in a thrilling Group One match of the ICC T20 World Cup.

In the match played in Sharjah, South Africa's captain Tamba Bauma won the toss and elected to field first.

Sri Lanka's innings

Playing first, Sri Lanka scored 142 for 10 in the allotted overs. From South Africa, Tabriz Shamsi and Dwayne Pretoris took 3 wickets each.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Quentin de Cock, who was ruled out of the team for not bowing to the issue of 'Black Live Matters', has been made part of the Proteas Playing XI today after apologizing.

South Africa's innings

South Africa completed the target of 143 runs with one ball already thanks to the aggressive batting of David Miller.
