Manchester United: Ralf Rangnick Will Reportedly Become Manchester United's Coach

Former RB Leipzig trainer Ralf Rangnick will train the English record champions until the end of the season. Then he should continue to work as a consultant for the association.

Ralf Rangnick is to become the new coach of the English soccer champions Manchester United. According to a report by The Athletic, the 63-year-old will take over the post on an interim basis until the end of the season. Manchester United would have agreed on this with the coach. When asked, a Rangnicks advisor said: "There's something to this story." The kicker also reports an agreement.

The prerequisite for this, however, is that Rangnicks current club Lokomotiv Moscow, where he works as a sports director, releases him from his contract. According to The Athletic, Rangnick will then sign a six-month contract with Manchester United until the end of May and then work as a consultant for the club for two more years. Before that, Rangnick had coached RB Leipzig, TSG Hoffenheim and FC Schalke in the Bundesliga.
