T20 World Cup | Sri Lanka Beat West Indies, Both Out Of The World Cup

Sri Lanka beat defending champions West Indies by 20 runs in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka and West Indies were eliminated from the semi-finals.

In the match played in Abu Dhabi, West Indies captain Karen Pollard won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat first.

Sri Lanka's innings

Batting first at the invitation of West Indies, Sri Lanka scored 189 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

The Sri Lankan batsmen did not allow one of the West Indian bowlers to walk and played an aggressive game from the start of the innings.

For Sri Lanka, Charith Asalanka scored 68 and Nisanka 51 runs.

For West Indies, Andre Russell took two wickets and Dwayne Bravo took one.
